The best part of my job is receiving feedback from customers about the great interactions that they’ve had with our team. We recently received a letter from a cancer patient who was being treated at a hospital that we managed parking for. The letter stated that the daily interactions with our valet staff helped them get through chemo. That is the type of service we strive to have at all our locations every day.
Technology has changed the most during all my years working in parking. The first location I worked at as a Facility Manager had a time clock mounted on the wall, hand issued tickets, and had a manual cash box. Today a customer can pre-purchase parking through the SP+ website or mobile app, and within minutes enter the garage with a guaranteed parking spot waiting for them when they arrive. Our customer reach becomes endless as technology continues to expand in our industry.
