Manager, SP+ Operational Excellence Group
Jonathan Mo was recently promoted to Manager in the East/Southeast region for SP+’s Operational Excellence Group. Prior to joining Op Ex, Jonathan was an SM I in the Seattle Region. Jonathan joined SP+ over 10 years ago through a company merger with his previous employer. After the merger, Jonathan grew to appreciate and enjoy working with his team, who has helped him through many challenges, including managing the parking for one of the world’s largest online retailers and the coordination of parking and transportation for a 5,000 person special event.
What was the first impression that you had when you came to work for SP+, and how has that impression changed?
My first impression was how much the Seattle team cared greatly about the work they did, the people they worked with, and their clients. My impression has not changed in the 11 years I have been with SP+. It still has the same close knit, caring culture as when I started.
What do you like most about your job and working with SP+?
I love the unique day-to-day challenges of serving my client. No two days are alike. SP+ has trusted and allowed me to be creative and think outside of the box in order to better meet our client’s needs.
What has been your greatest accomplishment at SP?
Coordination of a valet event for 5,000 guests in an area of Seattle with inadequate parking resources. We utilized SP+ shuttle inventory, SP+ parking inventory, and all SP+ employees in the area. This provided revenue for all 3 divisions (parking, special events, transportation). Nothing like keeping it all in house!
How does SP help you achieve your career goals?
Mentorship. I have received the best advice, training, and guidance from those above me during my time with SP+. Whenever I needed assistance, there has always been someone there to steer me in the right direction, and provide me with needed training to make sure I am equipped to succeed. I would not be where I am now without them.
